I got super tan(ner). Jeffrey got nice and burnt.

it’s vacation time!

We look so young here…this was at Ocean City, MD a few years ago.
This evening we’ll head out to Holden Beach which is a little island off the coast of North Carolina. Can’t wait for sand between the toes and the sound of crashing waves!

At the check-out counter in CVS I was helped by a woman who spoke with the best southern drawl in the world. And upon leaving, was following a truck with a giant decal sticker that read “Bubba’s Home Improvements.”
Southern drawls and guys named Bubba in New York City are few and far between.

green beans, anyone?

China town never ceases to amaze me. Longest green beans in the world.
Also, muscadines are in season (giant grapes/tiny plums…depends on how you look at things)…and I bought my first two pounds on Saturday. Finished the last of them this morning. Getting two more pounds tomorrow. LOVE them.
